If you’ve ever sat on an exam table waiting while your doctor entered information into a computer, you might be interested in this video, titled “Technical Difficulties: Fixing Electronic Medical Records.” It was created by my daughter and two of her fellow students for C-SPAN’s annual video documentary competition, StudentCam. I’m proud to announce that London’s team won third place in their division.
The contest is open to students in grades 6 – 12, and this year it drew 2280 films from 5000 students. According to the StudentCam website, the contest “encourages students to think critically about issues that affect our communities and our nation.”
If you know any students who might be interested in next year’s competition, you can find out more about it here.
