Many of you have already met our new paraplanner, Alison Scherr. Alison was born and raised in the Black Hills area. She received her B.S. in finance from the University of Wyoming and attended graduate school in Southern California, where she received her Masters in Accounting and Financial Management.
While in California, she worked as an accountant and financial analyst for Vantage Oncology, a joint venture acquisition company that worked to empower physicians to maintain control of their practices, while growing strong regional networks throughout the United States.
Upon graduation, Alison and her husband Jayme returned to the Black Hills to start a family and their careers. Her husband is a third generation chiropractor and works with his father in Rapid City. The couple enjoys snow skiing, rock climbing, scuba diving, snowmobiling, hiking, snowshoeing and fly-fishing, as well as keeping up with their daughter, Aliyah.
Alison is currently studying for her Certified Financial Planning certification from the College of Financial Planning, with an anticipated graduation in 2010.
