The day we hired Lisa, we asked her if it was possible that she could delay starting for 6 weeks and she said, “I’ll make it work.” That night Darla gave us her six-week notice. Rick called Lisa the next morning and asked her if she could start the next morning. She said, “I’ll make it work.”
Making it work for our clients is really what Lisa’s function at KFG is all about. Lisa handles all the client appointments, account issues, requests for money, client communications, and processing reviews.
While the financial planning field is new for Lisa, making it work for clients isn’t anything new for her. Lisa has over 10 years of experience in the legal field. She has a bachelor’s degree as a paralegal from National American University. Her background in real estate, trusts and probate, and family law has given her an eye for detail and a unique commitment to her clients. In Client Services, Lisa applies that same attention to detail to the needs of each of our clients. Her main focus is making sure our clients’ needs are always met in a timely manner.
Lisa is also enrolled in the Certified Financial Planner® practitioner course with the College of Financial Planning. This is a six part course on all aspects of financial planning that ends with a two-day test. After that, the candidate must complete 3 years of financial planning experience before obtaining the CFP. It typically takes about 5 years to obtain the CFP® designation.
Lisa is no newcomer to Rapid City. She was born and raised in South Dakota and has lived in the Black Hills area for over 30 years. Lisa and her husband, Ray, spend most of their time enjoying the activities of their five daughters. They also enjoy biking, walking, and hiking as a family. Early in life, Lisa sparked an interest in photography and continues to enjoy the art of photography in her spare time.
We are thrilled to have someone with Lisa’s integrity, client focus, and passion for financial planning on our team!
