REITS, along with about everything else, crashed last year. Will they end up burning in 2009 or do they represent the buy of the century?
Peter Hardy, CFA, Vice President and Client Portfolio Manager for the American Century REIT fund, will be our guest speaker for our workshop and teleclass Thursday, February 12th, 2009, at 4:00pm MDT. He will be speaking to us about the current economics affecting real estate investment trusts (REITS).
Peter represents portfolio management in communicating investment strategies and results to clients. Prior to joining American Century Investments in 2008, he was director of institutional client service and consultant relations at Morgan Asset Management, the investment management subsidiary of Regions Financial. Peter also was chief financial officer for Regions Financial Benefit Plans. Previously, he was vice president and equity portfolio manager at Trusco Capital Management and portfolio manager at STI Capital Management. Peter earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Furman University. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute.
This will be an excellent opportunity to hear from one of our recommended REIT managers and get all your questions asked. We will have limited seating at our office for those of you that want to attend in person. If you can’t make the presentation at our office, you can also call in. For those of you that can’t make the live presentation, the session will be available afterwards on the KFG Client Only section of the website.
